With recent expansion teams and older MLS franchises putting finishing touches on their new state-of-the-art homes, we thought we’d take a look at some of the best amenities and details from stadiums set to be finished in the next couple of years.

New Crew Stadium

The Columbus Crew will be inaugurating their brand new stadium this very July. Their new home will have a seating capacity of 20,000 people, and it will count with a large public plaza for fans to enjoy concerts, watch parties, and other public events. Most recently, this stadium did the rounds on Twitter after a picture appeared to show a Vuvuzela-themed chandelier in one area of the building. This brand new home is sure to be buzzing thanks to the Crew Supporters, so hopefully, no Vuvuzelas will be needed.

Q2 Stadium

Austin FC will also be inaugurating their new home this year -- a $260 million revolutionary stadium. This world-class facility will follow an open-air design, with vast spaces between stands to showcase the natural beauty of the surrounding areas. Also, this 21,500-seat stadium will count with multiple rustic restaurants and bars, as well as an open-air patio with food trucks. Truly, gamedays at Q2 stadium will be a blast.

St. Louis City Stadium

This 22,500-seat stadium is set to be completed by 2023, just in time for St. Louis City SC’s MLS debut. So far, the plans are ambitious. This stadium will count with a whole soccer campus around its vicinity, acting as the main hub for all aspects of SLCSC as a club. At this venue, every seat will be within 120ft of the pitch, with the closest seats being just 15ft away from the action. In addition, the stadium’s canopy design will be the most extensive coverage in MLS and will heighten the sound and energy of the fans. Definitely a modern stadium that St. Louis can be proud of.

Miami Freedom Park

Inter Miami has run into numerous setbacks in search of building a home for their team. Nevertheless, it seems Miami Freedom Park will soon become a reality. The club aims to make their stadium complex a “recreation destination that all Miamians can enjoy, providing 58 acres of public parks and green space, a tech hub, restaurants and shops, soccer fields for the community, a 25,000 stadium for Inter Miami, and many more features.” Out of all the previous stadiums, this project is by far the one that is most delayed, but it would still be great to see Beckham’s vision be completed.
